From Maspalomas to Tel Aviv, annual Gay Prides are always there to remind us to honour and celebrate sexual diversity and gender variance, all around the world. Here is a list with the most popular Gay Prides and largest LGBT festivals, taking place in 2019.

1. Maspalomas Pride

Every year, Playa del Ingles in Maspalomas in Gran Canaria, helds the Maspalomas Gay Pride, one of the most popular gay prides in Europe. It will take place from 02 May – 12 May 2019 for the 18th time, with the Pride parade taking place on Saturday 11 May 2019. In the meantime, the Winter Pride will take place from 4 - 10 November.

Most activities and events are held in Yumbo Centrum, the centre of Playa del Ingles town. There you can enjoy a huge variety of fun pool parties, including the extremely popular T-Dance and Wet & White, organized boat excursions, and other great LGBT activities, perfect for those who are interested in exploring the island of Gran Canaria island.

2. Madrid Pride

Madrid Gay Pride, also known as Orgullo Gay de Madrid, is hosted at Chueca neighborhood in the center of Madrid and it’s the second biggest gay pride, following this of Sao Paolo’s in Brazil. 2017 was the first time a city has ever hosted both the continent-wide EuroPride, and the global WorldPride, to celebrate its 40th birthday. 

Free open-air concerts in many different stages, parties, artistic and cultural events, conferences, sports, solidarity, and plenty of happenings are held all over Madrid during this time of the year. "Madrid Gay Pride 2019" festival will take place from Friday June 28th to Sunday July 7th 2019. The central event, the Pride Parade, is not confirmed yet.

3. Paris Pride

Paris Gay Pride, also known as Marche des Fiertes LGBT takes place annually, at the end of June in one of the most romantic European capitals in the world. The march, whose date is not confirmed yet, will kick off from the Luxembourg Metro, and finish at Place de la Republique, in central Paris. 

There will be a series of dance parties, special events and theme balls, mainly happening at the most gay-friendly district of Paris, Le Marais, where you can find great LGBT-friendly spots, bar and clubs to celebrate all day and night long!

4. Berlin Pride

The starting day of Berlin Pride celebration, in Germany known as Christopher Street Day, is Saturday, July 27th, a week after the Lesbian & Gay Stadtfest. It is one of the most famous gay prides in Europe, taking place annually since 1979, with hundreds of thousands of people participating each year. 

The parade starts at 12:00 at Kurfürstendamm and finishes at 14:00 at the Brandenburg Gate. The Soul of Stonewall Award ceremony, along with a variety of music events, acts and performances from world-famous DJs are happening on the main stage of the Pride Village in Straße des 17.

5. London Pride

2017's July was a very significant month for the LGBT community, since it marked 50 years since homosexuality was decriminalised in England and Wales, a big step towards human rights equality. Recently, the Mayor of London announced that the Pride in London Parade will take place on Saturday 6 July 2019, with the parade’s route, timing and the wider festival theme, events and activities to be announced in due course.

6. Stockholm Pride

Stockholm Pride the annual gay pride festival held the capital of Sweden, remains the largest Pride Festival in the whole Scandinavia since 1998. Pride House is the festival's cultural centre, where you can participate in several seminars, debates, workshops and exhibitions, or enjoy film screenings, theatrical plays and many other performances. 

For 2019, Stockholm along with Gothenburg will jointly host the EuroPride event from Monday, July 29, to Saturday, August 3, featuring record breaking diversity and international musical shows, exhibitions and a lot of exciting food!

7. Amsterdam Pride

July 27 to August 4 is the official date of the Amsterdam Pride for 2019. The first weekend the Pride is welcomed with a PrideWalk and Rainbow activities, happening in the Vondelpark. Filled with dance parties, film festivals, athletic events, speeches, art and culture, Amsterdam will become the centre of attention. 

The highlight of the Amsterdam Gay Pride is the world-famous Canal Parade, starting from going from Amstel towards Prinsengracht. During the final weekend you can enjoy great street parties, DJ's shows and performers, all featured in Dam square.

8. Tel Aviv Pride

This Pride festival takes fun and excitement into a whole new level. Tel Aviv is one of the most important gay spots in the world and the annual Gay Pride Parade will be held on June 14th, 2019, with tens of thousands of proud people attending from all over the world. Me'ir Park, will feature a large fair with music, drag shows and speeches. The parade will depart from the main garden of the park and take you along the way of the picturesque streets of Tel Aviv, reaching the city's beach, Charles Clore, where everybody can celebrate freedom in the Official Pride Beach Party which will be held from 3 pm, till morning hours.

9. New York City Pride

New York city is considered a landmark in the LGBT community with most Gay Pride events occurring throughout the month of June, annually, to honour the Stonewall Riots of 1969 and the beginning of the modern Gay Rights movement. As years passed, the event’s objective has included fighting against AIDS and marching for all those people who have lost their lives to illnesses, violence and neglect. This year’s parade will be held on Sunday, June 30th, 2019, begins at Fifth Ave and 36th St. with more than 80 floats, 350 marching organizations and thousands of spectators gathering together for the biggest celebration of love and equality.

10. Toronto Pride

Toronto announced the official dates of the 39th annual Pride Festival happening from June 21 to 23, 2019. 

The city will also celebrate the fourth annual Pride month, starting on June 1st, with a Flag Raising Ceremony taking place in the City Hall. Toronto Pride has been attended over the years by 1 million people worldwide. It includes a variety of events, such as an exclusive Family Pride program, Trans Pride, the Dyke March and the famous and spectacular Pride Parade, beginning from the corner of Church St. and Bloor St., down to Yonge-Dundas Square. 

Gay events and parties are not only limited to a single location, however, as you can find a range of Gay happenings and celebrations all over the city, in clubs such as Bovine Sex Club or The Beaver.
