There are a few gay bars and clubs in the Colonial Zone of Santo Domingo, where you can enjoy your nights in the entertaining atmosphere of the area.

Homosexuality is legal in the Dominican Republic but its legalization is the only one from the gay rights granted to the local LGBT community. Gay Marriage is not recognised by the government but some resorts might practise small ceremonies!
As the Dominican Republic is a conservative country, when in public a discrete behavior is always recommended.
