Lombok is definitely gay-friendly, as mentioned above, but doesn't have enough people to have gay-only hotels. However, their gay-friendly attitude extends to most of their accommodations, meaning most places you book will be gay friendly. If you want a taste the exotic experience of Lombok, check out our amazing Hotel Collections for available hotels. These hotels include ones with breathtaking views and direct access to the beach.
Lombok may not be the gayest destination for your vacation, but an excusion to one of the Gili islands will definitely gay up your vacation. Gili Trawangan is the biggest of the three islands and the most developed, filled with clubs and other nightlife. Gili Air is the second largest island and it's more serene than the neighbouring island. You can also go diving here because the waters are clear and the marine life is beautiful. Gili Meno is the last and smallest of the islands, and is more suited for families in a relaxed beach setting. Couples also come here to relax and get away from it all to spend quality time with each other.
The Tiu Kelep Waterfall is Lombok's most famous waterfall, hidden away in an emerald jungle. You can even swim in the pool at the bottom, which is refreshing after a long hike. Air Kalak Hot Springs is located near Mount Rinjani, the main mountain on Lombok. The hot spring is a perfect place to soothe your sores after a long hike up a mountain. If you're interested in seeing a pearl farm, the Autore Pearl Farm has a tour perfect for tourists who are interested. Kuta Lombok is the sister of Kuta in Bali, but much smaller and quieter with beaches close to the town. Bukit Pergasingan is a hill and lookout point in Simbalun village with an absolutely stunning view of the surrounding scenery. Selong Belanak Beach is in South Lombok and a beautiful beach on the island. Like the other beaches on Lombok, Selong Belanak is fairly empty, allowing for a more relaxing experience compared to places like Bali. Namada Water Park is a water palace with beautiful views of lush gardens and amazing architecture, though they don't have rides like most "water parks". The Sekotong Islands are located around Lombok and are amazing to experience, filled with white sand beaches and outlying coral reefs. Senggigi is commonly seen as what Bali would have looked like 20 years ago before all the tourists began to flock. A beautiful, secluded beach that is central to Lombok. Tetebatu Village is a change of pace from other parts of Lombok, filled with green rice paddies and forests instead of beaches and waters. Tangsi Beach is Lombok's Pink beach, as it has sand with a pink hue, which is cool to see if you've never seen a pink sand beach before.
