There are not any exclusively gay hotels or resorts in Limassol, however, there are several gay-friendly hotels located in the city centers as well as amazing resorts with direct access to the beach! If you are still looking for a hotel to stay, check out our inspiring Hotel Collections!
Limassol doesn't have many big gay venues, but there are areas of the city that are considered the gay hangouts. Some of the most popular are their gay beaches, including Pissouri, Governor, and Kermia Beach. There is also a gay sauna called Vinci Sauna. Even though this is the only gay-specific sauna, there are plenty of LGBTQ+ friendly places around to visit.
If you get the chance, you should check out Kourion, a UNESCO-protected archeology park that has over 6000 years of human history. Or Molos, a seaside park that goes from the Old Port to the zoo. The walk is designed interestingly, with playgrounds, palm trees, cafes and benches, water features, lawns, and sculptures all along the trail. Another architectural wonder is the sanctuary of Apollo, one of the most significant religious sites on the island. For more archaeological wonders, visit the Limassol District Archaeological Museum, with artifacts tracing the history of civilization on Cyprus. The prime beach in Limassol, Akti Olympion, is not gay-specific but is a prime beach area that must attract other gays. There is also a water park called Fasouri Watermania if you're travelling with kids or enjoy water parks. Limassol Castle and Kolossi castle are other historical monuments with the style of Cyprus' defensive buildings. Limassol castle displays coins, weapons, and pottery from history for all to see. Krassochoria is an area at the southern foothills of the Troodos Mountains, which is filled with picturesque villages with cobblestones and orchards on each side. Akrotiri Salt Lake is a wetland area; it has a large lake area but the water is always less than a metre deep, making it the perfect place for birds to stay. Avdimou Beach is the getaway beach for those looking for a beach experience without all the tourists. Anogyra and Pastelli are smaller, cute villages filled with carob trees. Carob is a sweet plant that is boiled into a syrup fo rpastelli, the local sweet. It tastes like toffee but with a faint bitter flavour. The village of Anogyra also has 3 museums if you're interested in learning about the history of carob cultivation and how to make pastelli by hand.
