Since Milos has not an organised gay scene, the best places to visit are the exciting landmarks around the island that all couples should visit during their lifetime. Hillock Capital Plaka is a nice area on the island where you can take a stroll and explore as a couple. The Cycladic architecture 220m above sea level is one of the most scenic corners of the island. The neighbourhood is filled with tiny little paths, cute shortcuts, traditional houses, tiled alleys, and picturesque churches. Sarakiniko is on the northeastern part of the island and is an incredibly popular destination on Milos. The moon-shaped structure around white rocks, small caves, and the blue sea overlook Sifnos and Kimolos islands, making it a beautiful geological point of view. The Ancient City of Fylakopi is an important historical part of Cycladic civilization. You can visit the ruins and remnants of the city and witness the once amazing city. Tripiti Village is a catacomb complex made up volcanic stone, preserving 126 carved arched tombs, acting as a spiritual and historical monument in Greek culture. Aphrodite of Milos is a famous statue and symbol of world civilization located between Tripiti and the famous catacombs. The Roman theatre is also in the area, with a seating capacity of 700 and excellent acoustics. Firopotamos is a small but impressive seaside settlement in the northeastern side of the island. The area is filled with fishing houses and a traditionally built orthodox church, with an incredible view of the landscape. Klima is also an ancient village, which used to be Milos' first port. The area has two acropolises, the hill of Prophitis Ilias and Pyrgaki, and parts of a temple from the Hellenistic and Roman periods. Mantrakia Fishing Village is a small fishing village northwest of Plaka, with a beautiful scenic area, summer houses, and fishing huts with boats, colours against the blue sea behind them. Agios Sostis Beach is a small beach, but very impressive. At the beach, it's nice to take a relaxing swim in the shallow blue waters, along with eating the food from a local cafe nearby. Pollonia is also a fishing village, but is larger than the others. The area is great for swimming, as well as nightlife fun.
