Nougat is a Venetian delicacy that has a sweetness similar to chocolate and a chewy texture. This shop not only sells sweets, but also pasteli (a traditional Zakynthos sweet made from sesame, honey and almonds) and local wines (such as Robola, Retsina and Amoudi).

Whether you are looking for sculptures, tiles, sinks or more, she has it here! If you want a personalized gift, be sure to send in a request as they do take commissions and can help bring your visions to life! If you want to try your hand at pottery yourself, come in on Tuesdays and Saturdays!

Popolaros Tavern

Don't let the name "Tavern" steer you away from this upscale restaurant. Since 1992, Popolaros Tavern has been serving the local island community with traditional Zakynthan dishes, such as flogeres (aubergine, mushrooms, ham and cheese all fried in a roll) or  and Bekri Meze (pork, kefalotyri cheese, mushrooms and olives). The beautiful outdoor patio is open during the summer months and the warm and cozy lounge area is frequented during colder months. What makes this dining experience unique is the live music played every night!

Da Camillo

Da Camillo is a romantic restaurant that can be spotted from miles away by the beautiful flowers surrounding the exterior. When you enter the establishment, you will be warmly greeted by the owners, Daniela and Camilo, who will help you feel at home and introduce you to their exclusive menu. This Italian restaurant is highly praised for their platter of cold cuts and cheeses and their seafood salad among other classics such as pizza and pasta!

Lithies Taverna

Since 1991, Lithies Taverna has been a local favorite, and for good reason! This quaint stone building is isolated in an area that is naturally shaded by trees and overlooking a garden where most of their herbs and vegetables are grown. The cheese, grapes and Tsipouro are all locally produced, while all meals are prepared fresh upon ordering. If you decide to visit, you must try the rabbit with cheese and garlic or the beef roll that is filled with peppers, onions and mustard!

Boat Tour 

What better way to have a luxurious trip around an island than on a private boat tour? You can request a boat with a captain, or if you are confident in your skills, sail it on your own. Please note that if you are planning on taking the boat towards attractions such as Shipwreck Cove, the heavy winds and waves probably won't let you. A pro tip is to pack a cooler of beers, water and snacks that you want to snack on during your trip, as you can't go back to shore to get more items once you start sailing! 

Zante Town

Although Zante Town is not considered famous in Greece, it is worth visiting for the charm and history of it. Since it isn't heavily populated, walking around the streets is relaxing and people watching is a favorite past time by locals. You can stop by plenty of boutiques, restaurants, cafes and taverns just by walking up and down the roads.
