This is how your Seychelles Honeymoon could look like!

Sunbathing on pristine beaches, trekking in lush rainforests, relaxing by private infinity pools; your Seychelles honeymoon experience is about to begin

The uber-tropical Seychelles is a beautiful archipelago in the Indian Ocean home to 115 tropical islands. Mahe is the largest island and home to the capital, Victoria. As a great destination for relaxing and intimate holidays, many newlyweds choose to spend their honeymoons in Seychelles. The feeling of intimacy and seclusion that it offers makes it the perfect nest for lovebirds.

First comes Seychelles’ natural beauty; most of the islands are homes to white-sand beaches as well as lush vegetation. It is also a budget-friendly destination, so you won’t have to spend a fortune on your Honeymoon. It offers all kinds of romantic activities to do on the island, and the privacy and seclusion that every couples seeks for their holidays.

Lastly, it is the home of a stunning resort that will take exotic honeymoon experiences to a totally new level.

Seychelles Honeymoon #1: The Hotel!

Your wedding is finally over and the honeymoon that you have been waiting so long for has finally begun. After the busy wedding preparations, it’s now time for you and your partner to escape to a dream destination, the Seychelles.

You need relaxation, luxury and time together (without the in-laws).  Raffles Seychelles is a ground-breaking resort located on the north-eastern tip of Praslin, the second largest island in the Seychelles. It’s currently one of the top hotels for honeymoons, due to its tranquil, intimate and easy-going attitude.

One is for sure when staying at Raffles Seychelles, you’re going to relax!

Seychelles Honeymoon #2: The Check In!

You have just reached Seychelles and the only thing you want after your journey is to just settle in, unpack and wind down. There are many ways to reach Praslin Island and Raffles Seychelles.

The quickest and most direct way is via a private helicopter operated by Zil Air. Other means of transportation include private boat, plane and sea ferry. The hotel gives detailed information here.

After check-in you’ll be shown to your room. When we say room we actually mean your ‘One Bedroom Panoramic View Villa’. Think spacious, open living space, separate bathroom and a dedicated kitchen area. But the icing on the cake is a large terrace with sundeck chair and your very own plunge pool.

We suspect you’ll spend a few hours here.

Seychelles Honeymoon #3: Dining

Seychelles does not have a distinguishing food tradition that you would go crazy about. However, Raffles Seychelles has included many dining options on its premises, very difficult to ignore.

The best part of your Seychelles dining experience is that you will be able to whenever, whatever, wherever you want. You heard right! Fancy a romantic candlelight dinner on a secluded beach that you found during your day excursions? You just need to ask it!

Are you bored going all your way to the restaurant to take your breakfast? Make yourselves a gift and ask the hotel to bring the breakfast in your room. Enjoy it by your private swimming pool with 180 degrees views or at your comfortable king-size bed!

Seychelles Honeymoon #4: Activities

So, when you can drag yourself away from your villa or the beach what’s there to see and do in the Seychelles.

See Aldabra Giant Tortoises in their local habitat!

Take a short 10-minute taxi boat ride from Raffles Seychelles and visit the beautiful Island of Curieuse. The island is home to 300 Aldabra Giant tortoises. You should pay a visit to the Curieuse Marine National Park dedicated to protecting their native wildlife.

Go cycling at the petite La Digue Island!

La Digue Island welcomes you with its easy-going and unhurried island feel. It’s so small that you can easily get around by bicycle.  It’s home to Anse Source d’Argent, one of the most photographed beaches in the world and the extremely rare Black Paradise Flycatcher bird. Just 15 minutes away by boat, this is an ideal morning excursion.

See the world’s rarest bird and largest nut

In the heart of Praslin, lies a well-preserved natural palm forest that has been designated as an UNESCO World Heritage Site. There, you will find Coco de Mer, the largest and heaviest nut in the world.

Moreover, you will find a diversity of rare and indigenous species, five other species of palm trees, and the black parrot, the world’s rarest bird.

Explore Aride, the finest seabird island in the western Indian Ocean!

45 minutes’ boat trip away, you will find the stunning Aride Natural Reserve. It is only 1.6 km long and 0.6 km wide and it hosts more species of birds than the other 40 islands combined. Many say that if you don’t see Aride means that you have not seen Seychelles.

Seychelles Honeymoon #5: Wellness for two

It wouldn't be a proper honeymoon if you didn't enjoy at least a spa session at the hotel's amazing spa. There are two couples treatments, both lasting 90 minutes and offering a refreshing spa experience for the both of you.

The Wildflower Couple's Romance will relax you with a 60 minute massage and a perfect soak with wildflowers and romantic candlelight. The Couple's Bliss will sooth you with a 60 minute massage using an aromatic oil and freestyle techniques, and a 30 minute mini facial by Kerstin Florian and Refinery for Men.
